Real
time operating system is abbreviated as RTOS and it is used in most of the data
communication and telecommunication products to perform multitask efficiently.
To control an embedded system these RTOS are used. The real time operating
system embedded device design is facilitated with many functions to perform
with modern devices to deliver the real time responsiveness.
The
other high level functions of RTOS are device organization and administration,
file system, protocol stacks and graphical use interface. The application of embedded system devices
are household appliance controllers and automotive controls. The modern real
time operating system consists of the high level of functions. The designs of
such embedded RTOS devices are made to fulfill the requirement of the modern
system by providing several facilities. The advantage of RTOS is its ability of
performing an external event within a deterministic time.
The
real time operating system involves two components that are real time and
operating system. The real time operating system is the system in which the
accuracy of the system depends not only on the logic effect but also on the
time. The result produced is based on this procedure. There is no doubt that
the RTOS is the key of many embedded systems and it is used very easily because
of its simplicity, its efficiency and many other advantages.
